Professional learning
The AI writing contest is open to everyone, but we are particularly interested in supporting secondary educators, in any discipline, in learning about AI and offering their students an opportunity to explore how AI might be powerful for thinking and writing.
You might not know anything about AI or comptuer science--that's fine! We will provide all the materials you need to teach a one- or two-week unit with Unfold Studio in your classroom. We are also releasing weekly professional learning videos all spring to help you prepare. Feel free to watch these on your own or to watch them together with colleagues.
April 14, 2025: Writing with AI
Chris explains how AI is integrated into Unfold Studio via three literary elements:
generate lets AI contribute details, continue delegates part of the plot to AI,
and agent asks AI to voice a character, based on details provided by the author.
April 7, 2025: Text and Code
Chris introduces the mechanics of writing interactive stories in the Ink language.
